Meet Maple! She's a rough collie puppy that is super sweet, rambunctious, and the perfect addition to our little family. Aspen and Maple are already the best of friends. We started out the day by driving to Sundre Alberta with is where we picked up Maple. We actually picked up Maple at a bison farm, it was a cool experience to see bison again. We hadn't seen bison since our trip on the Alaska highway. Maple got a little car sick but soon settled in snuggled next to her sister Aspen. It was cute to see the bind form between them. We drove through Banff back down to Cranbrook. On the way we stopped for a little hike to stretch our legs in Kootenay National Park. We hiked to Paint Pots, a quick little hike with little ponds filled with colour. It was really beautiful to see all the vibrant colour against the snow covered mountains. Aspen's white fur got covered in the yellow. (it took awhile for the yellow colour to wear off.) then we continued our trip back down to Cranbrook. There we were able to drive out on a back road and let them both off leash to play. They quickly became the best of friends and spend everyday playing, cuddling, and sleeping together. We are so grateful that we got a second dog. Aspen has been way more calm and her separation anxiety is pretty much completely gone. It has been wonderful to see the bond between them grow and to see how they communicate. We had though for a long time about getting a second dog but weren't sure. We are definitely glad we did, we couldn't imagine life without little Maple now.
