The Isle of Barra in the Outer Hebrides has the only airport in the world where a commercial passenger flight takes off and lands on the beach. Barra Airport also plays host to the world famous Barra Airport Cafe where I had a great lunch after arriving! In this video I take you through boarding the Loganair Twin Otter Flight at Glasgow Airport, the take-off from Glasgow, cruising at altitude as we look down on the beautiful Scottish Highlands below, and finally the approach and landing at Barra Airport, as we land on Traigh Mòr - the Scottish Gaelic for 'Large Beach'.
