Their school bus gets into an accident where most of Beth's classmates die, including Alma. Beth keeps seeing Alma like she never died but slowly starts to realize that it's only her mind playing with her and she realizes that she's better off without Alma, and part of her could bring her back if she could she needs to let her go.
