Internet governance forums can be complex and intimidating. These are the spaces where the laws, policies, and infrastructure that govern the internet for all citizens are debated—and sometimes decided. It may seem obvious that civil society should not only have a seat at the table, but actively shape the rules that govern our digital world. Yet in reality, civil society organizations are often underrepresented, especially those from the Global Majority, whose participation drops drastically when forums are held outside their regions. Despite these challenges, African civil society organizations have developed strategies to move from passive observers to active shapers of internet governance. This video by the Civil Society Alliances for Digital Empowerment (CADE) explains how they did it, providing lessons and tools that other organizations around the world can adapt to increase their participation, influence, and impact in digital policy spaces. #InternetGovernance #CivilSociety #DigitalRights #GlobalInternetPolicy #ICT4D #AfricanCivilSociety #DigitalInclusion #LetsTalkDigital #CADE 👉 Join the #LetsTalkDigital campaign to learn more and add your voice to the conversation: https://www.forus-international.org/e...
