INDIAN NAVY WEEK 2025 | INS KORA & INS KHANJAR arrived at Khidderpore Dock Kolkata. ------------------------------------------- The Indian Navy port call of INS Khanjar and *INS Kora*, two frontline Guided Missile Corvettes of the Eastern Fleet, visiting Kolkata as part of *Navy Week Celebrations 2025*. Both ships are deployed in the Bay of Bengal under Mission-Based Deployments and are making this outreach visit to connect with the citizens of Kolkata dated 28th November 2025. About INS Khanjar Fourth of the P-25 class Guided Missile Corvettes, built by GRSE. Commissioned: 22 Oct 1991 Nicknamed “Grey Ferrari”*; Motto: *“Better Than the Best” Affiliated with Kumaon & Naga Regiments Commanding Officer: Cdr Ronie Chowpoo About INS Kora Lead ship of the P-25A class, also built by GRSE Commissioned: 10 Aug 1998 Named after the iconic Gurkha sword Kora Commanding Officer: Cdr Chandan Jha Both ships are integral units of the Eastern Fleet under FOCEF, equipped with surface-to-surface missiles, anti-aircraft guns, advanced sensors, and upgraded systems for future readiness.
