Grisaille painting is a technique where you do the first layers of your piece entirely in black and white, later using that underpainting as a guide when you begin to add color. You can either add color in glazes or as opaque layers, it's up to you! I tried both to see which one I preferred, and while glazing is pretty cool, it wasn't quite what I was going for. I really enjoy constantly pushing myself as an artist, trying new techniques and mediums and embracing life as a life-long learner.
