As part of efforts to ensure people-driven development in Ikorodu Federal Constituency ahead of the 2023 general elections, Hon Babajimi Benson led a listening tour to Ajaguro, Ori-Okuta in Ikorodu west LCDA and Eruwen in Ikorodu North LCDA on the 23rd of oct 2022. Comment / Share / Click Subscription button to Subscribe to ChaRLian TV The goal for the listening tour is to meet with community leaders, resident and stake holders in Ikorodu west as well as Ikorodu noth to better understand ways to address community development, good roads, Education and strengthen cross-sector partnerships to drive community changes moreso to answer their questions, hear their concerns, identify their problems and better understanding the role programs play in supporting community efforts to advance equity. Hon Babajimi Benson's arrival at Ajaguro of Ori Okuta in Ikorodu west LCDA was well welcome as number of challenges were highlighted during the listening tour which include fixing of Ori-Okuta, Agric road, upgrade of primary health centres, completion of the only public secondary school in Agric axis, among others. ( Education is fundamental to development and growth in any community that needs upliftment . Speaking at the listening meeting ,the director general of iCare foundation Deen Sanwoola spoke extensively the importants and reasons for the listening tour and corrected the motion that hon Babajimi Benson's have facilitated and built more than 18 schools in Ikorodu division. Some of the resident spoke on the need of good water supply water and good roads while other seek for more schools in their community Meanwhile residents who lives in the community spoke with ChaRLian TV about the listening tour and also meeting with the honourable for the first time At Erunwen community in Ikorodu noth, during the listening meeting emphasis was laid on assisting with reconstructing the long-dilapidated and deplorable Erunwen road for easy vehicular movement and socio-economic development as well as provision of transformers and school for the community. Speaking with ChaRLian TV Hon Babajimi Benson assures the people of Eruwen that he has listened to the CDAs' demands and shall take appropriate steps in proffering lasting solutions to the demands in partnership with the State and Local governments.
