Though I live in New York today, my heart never left Jerusalem - its ancient streets, golden light, and music that rises like prayer from every stone. In honor of Yom Yerushalayim, I’m proud to share with you a new song that captures the soul of the city I love. I dedicate this song to the memory of Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Lynn Milgrim, two beloved members of Israel’s diplomatic community who were murdered this week in Washington, D.C. Yaron and Sarah were about to get engaged in Jerusalem next week. May their memories be a blessing, and may the city they loved - and planned to build their future in - continue to shine as a source of hope, healing, and peace.
