Weeks 102 and 103 in the ongoing Ⓢ series, which follows the construction of a new 13-story senior living building in San Francisco. A #construction #timelapse compilation with time lapses and various closeups at various speeds, from January 10-22, 2022, condensing two weeks into about an hour and 17 minutes. This is the second-longest episode in the history of the Ⓢ series, exceeded only by Week 35's episode. There's some overlap in the chapters -- sometimes work from one chapter is in the background of another, because a lot of the work is in the same area and also a lot of it was squeezed into the same few days of Week 102. I had to pull out all the stops and get every camera I could find going, even an older one with lower resolution (you may be able to tell which shots came from that camera). One long chapter is the replacement with a new permanent streetlight of that temporary streetlight that's been with us in the alley since beginning of Week1. We've seen a lot of various "happenings" adjacent to that temporary streetlight throughout the series, so it was a little emotional to see it go. Another long chapter is finding, diagnosing, and fixing leaks near "The Fin". Of course, there's caulking involved. Lots of new music in this episode, only a few repeats. Side anecdotes: Due to the length and certain CPU-intensive effects, this one took a long time to do the final rendering. On the first attempt, FCPX crashed the entire machine after it had been chugging away for 3 hours. Grrr. But at least the second try was successful, ultimately taking just under 6 hours to render.
