Recap Day 02 AFSF 2025, officially opened

The 2025 Africa Food Systems Forum officially opened on September 1 in Dakar, Senegal, with strong participation from the Soil Values program—a key driver of soil health and fertility initiatives. IFDC President and CEO Henk van Duijn attended the Forum, alongside IFDC Vice Presidents Oumou Camara (Programs), Beatrice Bezmalinovic (Business Development), Zachary Stewart (Research and Development), and Eric Smaling, Director of the Soil Values program. On the sidelines, Soil Values also joined two important events: a special AUDA NEPAD session, “Advancing the Momentum of the Africa Fertilizer and Soil Health Action Plan,” and the launch of the Africa Fertilizer Industry Development Association (AFIDA), where the program is a proud partner.
