The 2026 MG QS has arrived in Australia as the popular Chinese car brand's first seven-seat model sold locally, with the large SUV laying down the challenge to the top-selling Toyota Kluger, Hyundai Santa Fe and Kia Sorento, among other rivals. Under the bonnet is a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol four-cylinder engine that produces 153kW of power and 360Nm of torque. It's mated to a nine-speed torque-converter automatic transmission that sends drive to the front wheels in the entry-level Excite, or all four wheels in the flagship Essence. Both grades have sharp pricing and a very long list of standard equipment, when compared to the legacy players.
