Thus, this place was very popular and not so famous for tourism, but when Shri Narendra Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, he visited Kantharpur village and after seeing Vad more than 500 years, he decided to make this place a tourist destination. Friends Kantharpur village is located in Dahegam taluka. Where the 500 year old idol of Mahakali Mataji is seen. The specialty of this temple is that this idol of Mataji originated in the trunk of a tree. In the main branch of the Vadna tree, Maa Kalaka is sitting. Over time, the branches of the Vadna tree spread all around and many of those Vadvas became Vads. Thus, many Vadna branches spread outside the main branch so that today this temple is known as Vadwala Mahakali Mandir. Let's visit this wonderful temple. Kantharpur is a village in Dahegam taluka, one of the total 4 (four) talukas in Gandhinagar district in the central part of Gujarat state in the western part of India. The main occupation of the people of Kantharpur village is agriculture, farm labor and animal husbandry. The main crops grown in the village are wheat, millet, cotton, diwali and vegetables. Facilities like primary school, panchayat house, anganwadi as well as milk dairy are available in this village. Kantharpur is a natural tourist destination whose main details are as follows. Kantharpura has been declared as the annual tourist year of 2006. Mahakali temple in Kantharpura village is a huge tree of about 500 years. This wad is spread over an area of more than half an acre. Mahakali Mati temple is located in the main trunk of this tree. A folk fair is held at this place on Navratri days, in which people from far-flung villages come to pay homage. This is a habitat for animals and birds. This is the folklore of Vad that even if someone cuts the branch of Vad, there is a hindrance. Friends, my experiences while visiting this temple were very thrilling. This is the gift of nature. It feels different as soon as this tree comes down. Because the childhood of the people is remembered when they see the reduced ancestry of the father. But no one can eat Hinchaka from this Vadvai. Even Vadvayo from above Vadni is bowing to Mother Earth. As soon as the tree comes down, the temperature inside and outside changes a lot. Because the sun's rays cannot reach inside the deciduous tree. The 500-year-old Vad and Vani are one of the Vadvayas who feel blessed to the devotees. Vad is as long as Vad. One ancestor has merged with another ancestor. That is, it is not possible to estimate where the ancestor came from. These wadwais are spread in all four directions. As the tree grows, the farmers leave their land. And donates the land to the temple. Today the wad is spread over half an acre. The 500-year-old Vad had the spontaneous origin of Mahakali Mata, so the devotees come to the temple, ring the bell and ask permission to enter the temple, and the devotees seek blessings by bowing their heads in the mother's temple. There are two idols of Mahakali Mataji in this temple. That is, there is a self-revealed idol and another idol which was revered and this is the special worship of both the idols. Aarti is performed every morning and evening. Mataji is decorated. The idol of Mahakali mother is the only attraction. The unbroken lamp of ghee is lit in the temple and also fulfills the psychic desires of the devotees of Mahakali Mataji. When Narendra Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, he expressed his love for Vad and took pictures on 28th August 2013 at Mahakali Vad in Kantharpur village of Dehgam taluka of Gandhinagar district. He visited the school during the inauguration and asked Vad to develop it as a religious and sacred place. He spent some time in solitude under a 500-year-old tree called Mahakali Vad and then ordered the authorities to develop the place as a tourist spot. Modi suggested building yoga huts under Vadni.
