In just one month, the Indian government earned a record ₹800 crore from scrap sales — surpassing the ₹615 crore spent on the Chandrayaan-3 mission. The special cleanliness drive, held between October 2–31, freed up 232 lakh sq. ft. of office space and disposed of 29 lakh files across 84 ministries. Since 2021, total earnings from scrap have touched ₹4,100 crore.
