ITA Airways Trip Report flying from New York to Rome on a beautiful autumn afternoon in the USA and morning over Europe. We flew on a brand-new ITA Airbus A330-900Neo. A great trip onboard the ITA Airways A330Neo from New York to Rome. This was my first time flying on the ITA A330Neo and I must say it was a great experience. After some planespotting at JFK Terminal 1, we boarded the ITA A330Neo. We took off with the best light of the day: the recent Sunset; creating one of the most beautiful takeoffs of this year, for sure. We crossed Long Island and flew towards Boston, which was our entry point into the Atlantic. We spent the night crossing the Atlantic Ocean, entering Europe over Nantes. The Sunrise took place when we were over France, flying over Nice. After overflying Corsica and the Italian west coast, we landed at Fiumicino airport slightly ahead of the schedule, on a very humid morning. About the onboard service, there were 2 services on this flight: the main meal and a small breakfast. The main one came just after takeoff, there was nothing before it. As I was very hungry I asked for both options (chicken and pasta). The chicken was better in my opinion but both options were good. The "breakfast", that came around 1h30min before landing in Rome, was a loaf. That was all. An incredible way to destroy the memories people will have from the flight. Brilliant.
