Our journey to Molteno was a picturesque adventure marked by a bumpy road from Sterkstroom, navigating through potholes that slowed our progress. The highlight of our route was undoubtedly the Boesmanskloof Mountain Pass, offering great views from the top. Upon reaching Molteno, our leisurely drive through the main road provided glimpses of historical significance, including the site of the old mill. The Dutch Reformed Church, with its captivating architecture and the fact that we were offered the opportunity to see it inside, brought the town further to life. A particularly delightful discovery was seeing the factory where my beloved buttermilk Ouma Rusks were produced, adding a personal touch to our exploration.
