#photodiamantakis #studioanalog Dear collectors and friends of the channel, I will be 80 years old this year and have no heirs to whom I can pass on my collection. I would like to part with my photo and cinema collection - my life's work - which I have amassed over the last 50 years. The collection really belongs in a museum, it's a shame to tear it up. All efforts and attempts to talk to “decision-makers” and find a solution have failed. It seems to be good manners these days to refuse to talk and not answer letters, which unfortunately has happened to me umpteen times. The final consequence for me is now to sell. The price I have in mind (5-digit amount) is roughly equivalent to the value of a better SUV. However, a complete purchase is a condition. The collection comprises approx. 4,000 items from the fields of photography and film. A large number of additional equipment completes the whole. The specialist library and archive cover a length of approx. 40 meters on the shelves. A very large number of objects from the fields of photography and cinema complete the collection. Are you interested or do you know someone who would be willing to take over the collection? I ask for your understanding if I do not wish to answer inquiries about individual items. I would be very pleased to hear from you! Yours, Stavros Diamantakis! The “Diamantakis” collection comprises around 4,000 exhibits from the fields of photography and cinematography, including numerous exhibits from the Eumig company. It is now looking for publicly accessible premises for a museum to document the history of photo and film development in detail. The greatest possible flexibility has been ensured in the choice of location. If you are interested in housing the collection in a closed space without taking away any “fillet pieces”, please contact: [email protected] Further information about me and my cameras: https://www.filmklubspittal.com/blog/...
