Fire-Bird / Żar-Ptak", staged for the 100th anniversary of the birth of Zuzanna Ginczanka, was set at the poet's last Warsaw residence thanks to: Fundacja Joint Distribution Committee Poland and RISK Made In Warsaw. She published her work in a Polish group of experimental poets “Skamander” and in magazine “Szpilki”, among others. Well-known in interwar bohemian circles, she was highly regarded by Tuwim and Gombrowicz. An emancipated, stunningly beautiful woman, she spent her entire life eluding stereotype. She was a Jew who experienced wartime escape and betrayal. Ginczanka was arrested by the Gestapo, tortured and shot in May 1944 in Krakow. Although the memory of her words had been completely erased, they return with great force. In this project the poet's words find fulfillment: “I must find myself scattered here”
