03 Atmospheric Distillation of Crude Oil

Atmospheric Crude Columns are one of the most important pieces of equipment in the petroleum refining industry. Typically located after the Desalter and the Crude Furnace. The Atmospheric Tower serves to distill the crude oil into several different cuts. These include naphtha, kerosene, light diesel, heavy diesel and AGO. In this lecture, we will construct, run, analyze and manipulate an Atmospheric Crude Column simulation. We will begin by building a simple column and continue by adding side operations(Side Strippers and Pump Arounds) to the column.
