The HUGS is dead. Long live the GSHU! I wouldn't compare directly with my last video, which had the Hearty modifier - however, from trying the two builds on this save, this Gunslinger-Hunter version does just edge the Gunslinger-Alchemist version a little, but with a more close-range fight that fits Nightweaver's Grudge more, GS-AL might actually catch up again. Build is otherwise basically the same as yesterday's, but here are the details anyway: ______________ Archetypes: For Devloop builds, Gunslinger Prime really does make more sense than Hunter Prime - you don't need Hunter's Skill extensions if you're refreshing your skills back to back anyway. Instead, we'll have some infinite ammo and instant reloads for more Dakka please - enough to take out Corruptor without ever having to jump, very nice. Weapons: Nothing fills the need for more dakka like the Bonesaw LMG. With its high firerate, 10% crit chance and free mod slot, it is ideal for a Devoured Loop build, with Corrosive Shot and Momentum giving us a huge boost to our crit chance. For our sidearm, we're taking Meridian, an incredibly powerful grenade launcher that does really well in this fight as its AOE damage bypasses the damage resistance on Many-Faces' body. Bandit is amazing on this, as each target hit by the AOE counts as another chance to proc the free rounds, including Many Face's detached arms. Meridian's mod straight trajectory and smaller AOE is also very useful for one-shotting Many Faces arms when it's a little too close for the primary fire. Trinkets: Devoured Loop is central to this build, of course. We're also taking Probability Cord over Zania's Malice just because there is a chunk of the fight with no weakspot to shoot. Akari Warband would be a better choice in most fights, but here we're dodging a lot of attacks by simply strafing, rather than perfect dodging. To make the most of Bonesaw's overheat mechanic, we're taking Microcompressor, which lets us pile on the rounds without overheating too quickly; and Constant Variable Ring, which give us a big damage boost if we are able to stay in the red. Just remember - if you do overheat, you can cancel out of this by using your relic. For the amulet, I've gone with Gunslinger's Charm for this run, as the firerate helps not only with DPS but also our chances of proccing Devloop as soon as possible. Traits: I went glass cannon for this run, but really you don't need to - the priority traits are Spirit (for Corrosive Shot uptime) and Footwork (for maneuverability while hosing down enemies). Handling can be dropped since the LMG tightens its spread as it shoots. Expertise can be left out, since we're relying on Devloop for our skills anyway. The rest is up to you, you can definitely find room for max Vigor, Fortify and Barkskin if you're looking for more tankiness. Relic: The relic is mostly your personal choice - I've gone with Enlarged Heart simply for the faster use speed. The main thing is bringing the Crit Chance, Firerate, and Crit Damage or Ranged Damage fragments. This takes our Crit Chance with the Bonesaw to 100% when our skills and mods are up. Nice. Armour: Again this is really up to you - I've gone with this combination mainly for a combination of fashion and good armour for a medium roll, but you can go heavier or lighter as you wish. Playstyle: All-in-all, this is a really fun build that is all about volume of fire. The key thing is to activate both skills and your corrosive shot together so you have the firerate and crit rate to proc your next skill charges, then keep up the fire. When you're starting to overheat, either start firing in bursts to stay in the red, or take this opportunity to activate a skill or use your sidearm. When you're about to run out of your magazine, insta-reload your Bonesaw using Bulletstorm or Corrosive Shot to save yourself valuable time. Use Meridian on crowds or armoured targets, Bonesaw for hitting weakspots. _____________________ 00:00 Intro 00:05 Corruptor 01:10 Build
