🌟 STICHTING MISSION LANKA & TRUTH MEDIA INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZE SECOND JOURNALISM AND HUMAN RIGHTS WORKSHOP (11th Workshop to Date) – 2026 🎓📚 On 22nd February 2026, Stichting Mission Lanka, together with Truth Media International, successfully organized the Second Journalism and Human Rights Workshop (marking the 11th workshop conducted so far) for the students of Sri Vapikarama Dhamma School, Rathnapura. The programme brought together 70 enthusiastic Sri Ariya Damma Nikethan Dahampasal , strengthening their knowledge in media engagement, communication skills, and human rights awareness. 🌱✨ This impactful initiative was conducted in collaboration with Vision Media Academy and led under the visionary guidance of Shantha Dalugamage – Founder & CEO of Stichting Mission Lanka and Executive Director of Truth Media International . The organizations were represented by Mr. Sandun Buddhika and Dr. DRkamal Abeywardhana, District Coordinators for Rathnapura. The workshop sessions were facilitated by Mr Greshan Naveendra, Director of HELP TV and Vision Media Academy 🎥. 🔎 Key Focus Areas of the Workshop ✨ Communication skills development 🎤 Public speaking techniques 📰 Basic journalism practices 📋 Event management knowledge 💡 Leadership and confidence building Participants actively engaged in interactive activities, speech drills, and practical real-life simulations, significantly enhancing their confidence, presentation skills, and professional communication abilities 💪🎯. 🎓 Recognition & Educational Support At the conclusion of the programme: 🏅 Each participant received a Certificate of Participation in recognition of their dedication and active involvement. 📖 Human Rights educational booklets from United for Human Rights were donated to promote awareness of fundamental rights and responsibilities. This programme aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4) – Quality Education 📘 and reflects the continued commitment of Stichting Mission Lanka and Truth Media International toward capacity building, ethical media practices, leadership development, and human rights education in Sri Lanka 🌍.
