David Candaux is one of the greatest watchmakers out there right now. He's served as the "concepteur horloger" for brands such as MB&F and Jaeger-LeCoultre and helped create watches like the Jaeger-LeCoultre Hybris Mechanica Grande Sonnerie and MB&F HM6 Space Pirate. David started his watchmaking journey at the age of 13, being surrounded his whole life by the industry. He quickly learned and experimented at many companies before launching his own personal brand; D. Candaux. In the first part of this two part series, Tim sits down with David to discuss his early years growing up. They talk about what motivated David and what he learned while working on watches for other brands.
