PCR Driver Arrested for Allegedly Stealing Gold from Accident Victim; Granted Bail

Anjuna Police arrested a PCR driver, Saiesh Parsekar, for allegedly stealing gold jewellery worth ₹7–8 lakh from an accident victim earlier this year. The victim, Jaster Vincent Rodrigues, sustained critical injuries after his car hit a tree at Anjuna on January 25, 2026. He was being transported to Asilo Hospital when the alleged theft took place. Rodrigues later succumbed to his injuries. Police said the accused allegedly removed the victim’s gold ornaments while shifting him to the hospital.
