The first generation Roland Juno-G keyboards have a known problem with their LCD screens going wonky. Mine has been broken for years now. Roland makes a new screen you can order through their website or from other online retailers. It costs around $80. As part of the install process, you also need to update the firmware. Roland customer support e-mailed me a zip file with the two folders worth of updates. First, a new boot software, then an upgrade to the 2.01 operating system, which also adds new sequencer functionality! This video is me muddling my way through what is eventually a successful installation of the new screen and software update. A bunch of people have asked for the files I used that were sent to me by Roand US several years ago.
