This is the video of Bhuvana at the age of 4 years 9 month. She is sorting, exploring flowers and understanding the difference. In sorting objects, they separate them according to similarities and differences. When comparing, the children determine if an object has more or less of an attribute. Classifying and sorting activities help children to develop a range of thinking skills and build the foundations for later problem solving. Exploration is an important part of learning. Critical thinking skills are enhanced during such science activities. Kids can ask the why, how, and what questions. Sometimes, they answer the questions themselves. They can learn the scientific process along the process. Exploration is an essential part of how a young child learns to relate to others and to the things around them. Starting during the prenatal stage, babies begin to develop the ability to think, draw conclusions, make predictions, look for explanations, and even conduct experiments to understand their surroundings through senses. Providing them opportunities to explore and learn through play is crucial for the healthy brain development and social-emotional well-being of a child. Children follow their curiosity and try new things; they build strong neural connections that will play a key role in learning and behavior throughout life. We as parents and teachers must allow and provide them a play atmosphere for the better understanding. The process of learning must encourage learners to build information on past experiences and knowledge, use their intuition, imagination and creativity, and search for new information to discover facts, correlations and new truths. Construction of knowledge should be made so proper that the child is never burdened rather enjoys and learn things.
