A Eulogy for My Son

Born Jan. 9, 2013, Vincent William Baran died in a tragic accident on Nov. 7, 2020. Vincent—or “Vinny”—was riding his bike on the sidewalk in downtown Hudson, Ohio, with members of his family on a sunny Saturday afternoon when he was struck by a car pulling out of a parking lot. He did not survive his injuries. At the interment ceremony after Vincent's funeral, his father, Ben Baran, delivered a eulogy for Vincent next to his gravesite in Markillie/St. Mary Cemetery in Hudson, Ohio.
