GLEN YAPS 2022 - Taye Go Kit Preview PART 2

Part 2 of my Taye Go Kit video is the actual test drive of the kit. I also substitute a full size 18" Taye maple series kick in place of the stock 18" dia. 7 " deep kick that came with the kit. This happens mid way through the video. My drumming in this video is to showcase the drums and sound of them and not my playing so keep that in mind. I by no means play that good on this demo. Also, except for the Go Pro Hero 4 camera mic, there are no other mics used in recording the drums. I wanted the sound of the actual acoustic kit to be recorded without tons of microphones on it. "Oh Natural" ;-) The reverb effect in the video is from the camera sitting on top of a 20" bass drum on it's side with 2 full heads on it. I discovered that by sitting the camera on this drum, it creates a reverb effect from the drum set being played ringing through this other bass drum that's sitting on a stack of other drums. The camera mic picks the reverb coming from the drum it's sitting on.
