Working on my 2013 Tesla Model S, I begin removing the 16 modules from the pack. Please click SHOW MORE! The Tesla Model S has 16 individual sections in the battery pack. Here's how I remove them, one at a time. 00:00 Introduction 00:10 The 3 Connections 00:30 Power Connections 01:34 BMS Connector 02:29 Coolant Lines 04:36 Prying and Lifting 07:00 Watch out for coolant! 08:00 3D Printed Stands 09:00 Conclusion I designed and 3D-printed the stands to hold the modules on edge. I'm not much of a CAD designer, but if you want the file, you can find it at: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:708... A hunk of 2x4 with a slot cut in it with a table saw would probably work just as well! I'm trying to improve my audio/video quality, while still making it easy to film while I work. I just got this microphone recently. It's VERY easy to use and I think it sounds pretty good, but I'll need to move the mic further from my mouth next time. I clipped it on my t-shirt collar, so it was too close. RODE Wireless Pro: https://amzn.to/44rwjzx I used silicone corks to plug up the coolant ports on the cell modules. I'm sure there's other ways to do it, but this worked pretty good for me. I have these corks mostly to protect threaded holes while painting metal: https://amzn.to/4kwXPjK See all the videos I've shot of working on this car at: • 2013 Tesla Model S Repair If you like what I do you can support me at: / 300mpg By shopping at Amazon anyways: www.amazon.com/shop/benjaminnelson For more Information, visit: https://300mpg.org Most Popular Playlists: Build Your Own Electric Car: https://bit.ly/2zMufmN Build Your Own Electric Motorcycle: https://bit.ly/2AT7eOF Solar Garage: https://bit.ly/2KgQpS5 Contact Ben Nelson: Please just leave a comment for me at: https://300mpg.org/about/ and I'll get right back to you.
