Tips and Tricks: Tethers, Leashes, and Carabiners

In this video, I talk about Tethers, Leashes, and the types of Carabiners that should be used when kayaking and kayak angling. I go over some basic rules for tether and leash materials and lengths, and I go into detail about the safety aspect of using Tethers, Leashes, and why to use certain types of Carabiners. You can use hook and loop fastener (Velcro) in lieu of carabiners, just make sure the Velcro is tight and does not have a loop formed which could allow an object to snag.
