It is always a treat to hear a song for the first time. Freeway is I heard this gem in Statesboro in the acoustic set. I told the ladies how good it was at the Statesboro meet and greet/merch signing after. The full band arrangement here is cool too. Lily was seeming to have so much fun singing it and swaying to it from the very first time I heard it. It’s sweet that Powell gets a shout out of her nickname ‘Birdie’ and we find that Ellie bought a cheap Mustang. That was my first car too (a 1980 straight 6 hatchback .. mine was an orangey brown colour but I loved it. I wonder if Ellie’s Mustang was the cool blue convertible on in their Hurricane video? Lily sang she used to play bass sometimes in earlier performances - here she says she doesn't anymore and gives Mason a nod :) Sweet. Speaking of Mustangs. We rented a convertible Mustang to go to this Dothan, Alabama Homecoming and benefit concert. Enterprise folks said pick whatever is in these 4 rows and bam a red convertible Mustang was mine for a few day. We did drive with the top down the day before the concert. Hmmmm .. I just may get one of these when I retire. Uncle Dave was amazing - he was a truck driver with a lot of interests like scuba diving (when he was young), flying small planes (when he could afford it), reel to reel recording and playing country music. Our favourite song as kids was him playing Green Green Grass of Home, but the funny version where the guy is drunk and running to the outhouse. I’ll never forget that - RIP Uncle Dave.
