“It’s LUDICROUS!” - Mike Graham Slams ‘Black-Only’ Theatre Experience With Kit Harington

A West End theatre production has been criticised for ‘excluding white people’ from a play about race, identity and sexuality in 21st century America. Slave Play, starring Game of Thrones star Kit Harington, will come to the Noël Coward theatre in London’s West End with aims of hosting a black-only audience on certain days to protect them from "the white gaze". Mike Graham slams the production, calling it “ludicrous” that only ‘black-identifying’ people are allowed to attend. “Can you imagine if the three of us turned up and said that we’re black-identifying people? I remember when this happened in Stratford - a colleague bought the entire first row of the theatre,” he says. “Imagine if it was the other way around - and there was a white-only theatre performance.
