In this sewing vlog I go through how I made the bodice of my 1840's Jane Eyre inspired dress. I found a pattern that I liked from Truly Victorian. The pattern number is TV454 titled 1845 German Day Dresses. I’ve never made an 1840’s style dress before. It is a new decade for me. I decided to make this dress after seeing a painting of Jane Eyre by @Sleightholmfolk. I've always love Jane Eyre ever since reading it in High School. Jane has such a quiet determination that I admire. I've also come to appreciate the novel even more after learning more about Charlotte Bronte, her sisters, and their writing journey.
