Ethos Graphene Matrix Coating | Chemical Resistance Test

This is a chemical resistance test video for the new Ethos Graphene Matrix Coating. Using Poorboy's World Strip Down, Dawn POWERWASH, and Super Clean aerosol, I test just how well the coating holds up to full saturation and agitation of these cleaners into it. This test is 3 weeks since applying two coats of Graphene Matrix to the test hood. This is also the first time that I've washed this test hood using CarPro Reset as my wash soap. The paint was prepped with 3D One Hybrid Compound & Polish, followed up with Sonax Perfect Finish and Ethos Detox prior to the original application of the coating. 1 hour was waited before applying the second coat of the Graphene Matrix Coating on top of the first coat. Overall, you can see that with these three heavier chemical cleaners, the Graphene Matrix Coating was able to easily resist them to a very high level. Although you would assume all coatings to perform at this level, the reality is many different coatings on the market have different levels of chemical resistance. Now, even though this performance is strong, it's still not necessarily an indication of the coating's long term performance in a real world test on a daily driver. However, it does highlight a strength to possibly be able to resist some harsher chemicals that one may find especially if they tend to use a lot of touchless washes that are exposed to harsher chemical cleaners. My first impressions of this coating remain strong, I think it's really well balanced, continuing to show outstanding hydrophobic performance, great chemical resistance while also being very easy to apply and level out, and great lasting slickness and gloss.
