We didn’t plan to leave Uganda this week—but when the internet was suddenly shut down ahead of the national election, we had to act fast. With our daughter in the middle of finals week for her online high school, turning in exams and papers was non-negotiable. So we made a quick decision, crossed the border, and found ourselves in Kenya.
