Remix made with Demucs4 extracted stems from the original stereo mix. This is from my remix of the "A Saucerful of Secrets" album, which includes over 3 hours of bonus material: 1. Remixes of all the non-album singles from this era; 2. Syd Barrett songs and other outtakes from the sessions remixed; 3. "The Committee" soundtrack with the dialogue removed; 4. A small selection of the BBC sessions in stereo; 5. The original mono mix which was never officially released on CD. 6. 50+ high definition photographs of the band in 1968 7. Original artwork from the LP restored Download link for the set. In the original stereo mix, it starts at about 2:30, and the edit lasts for 5 seconds until it abruptly cuts again. This edit is just a repetition of the previous part of the song. I fixed this by slightly crossfading these sections. It's interesting to note that the mono mix lacks that edit, and it plays seamlessly. Why this strange edit was made in the first place, I have no clue. In order to further investigate, I synched both the mono mix and stereo mix. They synch very well, except for those 5 seconds. As soon as that edit is over, the tracks immediately synch up again. My speculation on my part is that when it came time to edit the song for mastering back in 1968, there was some kind of error or something that happened during that part that made them rather than remix the song from scratch, they just copied and pasted the previous section of the song to fill in. That's the only way I can explain it because, other than that part, both the mono and stereo mix synch almost perfectly. As always, your feedback will be much appreciated. Thanks for watching!
