‘Catfish’ Victims Who Straight Up Lied To Nev Catfish victims are sometimes not what they seem. As you may know, the usual plot is that someone is typically lying on ‘Catfish,’ though you rarely expect it to be the person writing into the show. Today’s list focuses on Catfish victims who straight up lied to Nev. Some people even kept persisting after getting caught in their lie! 5. Vince & Miranda Vince claimed that Alyssa, a woman he’d romanced several years prior after meeting on Facebook, had ruined his relationship with his very recent ex, Liz. He explained that Alyssa would contact him incessantly after they had broken up and he was newly committed and she even sent some suggestive messages. Vince had contacted catfish to find out if Alyssa was a real person and his ex, Liz was shocked to find out that the two had never met face to face despite Vince telling her he even met her family! For a relationship that lasted over one and a half years, I think Liz deserved to know the whole truth. On Alyssa’s side of the story, she became the third voice in their relationship because she’d always text and reach out to Vince. What’s crazier is the fact that Vince changed his phone number but somehow Alyssa had access to it. Yeah right! Nev and Max just wanted to get to the bottom of things so they went digging. Turns out, Alyssa had lied to Vince about a lot of things including the death of her mother due to cancer. The catfish busters did some digging on the Alyssa profile and they were shocked about what they uncovered but couldn’t break the ice to Vince until the two had the chance to meet face to face. It turns out the Miranda profile was the real “Alyssa”. She looked nothing like her photos, probably a younger version of whatever she’d posted online. Miranda wasn’t remorseful about her actions. She even pointed out that Vince led her on and wasn’t a saint as he claimed to be. She further exposes him for being a flirt. Nev and Max at this point are confused as to what just happened and even call him out for his lies. This guy had the audacity to complain about being harassed only for him to entertain this “Alyssa” he was calling a stalker! He was speechless the whole time as Miranda threatened to reveal their conversations as proof. Vince felt stupid because he turned out to be a liar probably just looking for his few minutes of fame on the show. Shame on you Vince! 4. Whitney & Bre Whitney and Bre are the most famous fake catfish that were able to catfish the show host himself!!! Whitney from New York contacted the show concerning her long-distance romance with Bre, who was from California. The two met on a dating site and things kicked off from there. Apparently, they had fallen in love and talked regularly, but all signs were pointing to a classic catfish. This is because Bre was an exotic dancer and had only ever sent Whitney two pictures of herself and couldn't video chat with Whitney because she didn't have Wi-fi. All this cat and mouse games went on for over four years and since money was tight, Whitney had put up with this since she couldn't afford to visit Bre herself. Wanting to unveil the truth, Whitney turned to Catfish in the hope she would find out Bre was who she said she was because Whitney hated liars and couldn't stress this point enough. However, things went on a downward spiral after Nev and Max discover they might have been catfished themselves. They went through Whitney’s Facebook and discovered rather suggestive conversations between her and “Luscious B” the name was quite striking since Whitney had the same name tatted on her leg.
