As you may know, one of the specificities of Mr Pizzarelli is that he only plays 7-strings. The problem is that this kind of guitar seems very specific to the US market and is nowhere to be found here in Europe. When I came across a Moll 2001 Pizzarelli signature on archtop.com, well… I took my chance. Archtop.com is a company based in Seattle selling a lot of beautiful jazz guitars. Its online reputation seemed Ok, so after setting up a call with the manager to listen to the guitar sound, and negotiate the price a bit, I decided to take the big leap and have the guitar shipped from the other side of the world.
