Sūrat al-Ḍuḥā (Arabic: الضحى, The Morning Hours, Morning Bright) is the 93rd sura of the Qur'an with 11 ayat. Although there is some debate amongst scholars, this sura in often considered to be the second revealed to Muhammad. After the first sura (al-Alaq) was received, there was a period of silence in which no further messages were revealed. During this time, the new Prophet wondered if he had somehow displeased God, who it seemed for a while was no longer sending down His message. This sura broke that silence, and reassured Muhammad that all will be understood in time. The image of the morning (ad-Dhuha) is the first word of the sura, and can be understood as symbolizing Muhammad's "new day" as the Messenger of God, as well as the "dawn" of the new way of life that would become Islam. After this sura, the visitations of Gabriel with the words of the Qur'an would come to Muhammad regularly until his death. Because of subject matter, length, style, and placement in the Qur'an, this sura is often coupled with Sura Al-Inshirah. They are generally considered to have be revealed around the same time. Summary And swearing by the brightened Day, [93:01] and by the Night, when it has darkened and calmed; [This swearing includes every moment of time span] [93:02] [Read with 26:218;52:48] like these two points in time the unambiguous evident fact is, O you the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam], your Sustainer Lord neither ever caused you to be away from Him nor ever He went away from you. [in every moment of your life you were ever before Him, the focus of His attention] [93:03] And certainly the Hereafter is far better for you, the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] as compared to the beginning. [93:04] And certainly soon your Sustainer Lord will grant you, resultantly thereby you will be appreciatively satisfied. [93:05] [You never lost His attention, let instances be quoted] Did He not find you as orphan, thereby He provided you protected cover/shelter. [93:06] And He found you [Muhammad Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] deeply absorbed in the pursuit of absolute truth/reality for which reason He thereby showed/guided you to the absolute truth [Taking you physically far beyond the boundary of your present day universe]. [93:07] And He had found you in need for which reason thereby He transformed you as self-sufficient/above needs/affluent. [93:08] Therefore [to mirror the attitudinal traits of Sustainer Lord], as for the orphan is concerned then/for this reason you should not be harsh/over dominant. [93:09] [Read with 81:24] And as for the questioner/inquirer, for reason to satisfy his inquest you should not disappoint/let him remain floating.
