BJP Leaders Urinate on Tribals: Shocking Allegation by MLA Sudip Roy Barman Sparks Protest

In a fiery speech delivered at a tribal convention organized by the Congress party at Ambassa Town Hall yesterday, senior Congress leader and Agartala MLA Sudip Roy Barman made a controversial remark, stating, "BJP leaders urinate on tribals." This provocative statement triggered outrage among members of the BJP Janajati Morcha. In retaliation, party workers gathered in front of MLA Sudip Roy Barman’s MLA hostel, Buddha Mandir in Agartala and launched a protest. Tensions escalated when protestors broke open the hostel gate, stormed inside, and vandalized chairs in the premises in front of the huge number's of Police. Later, demonstrators also staged a protest in front of the MLA’s residence. In response to the incident, the Superintendent of Police (West Tripura) visited the site and took stock of the situation. MLA Sudip Roy Barman, while speaking to the media, condemned the act of vandalism and stood by his earlier comments, adding that voices raised in support of the tribal community cannot be silenced through threats or violence.
