On November 29th, 2025, I climbed Mt. Ganjyaku, which sits on the border between Soeda Town and Aka Village in Tagawa County, Fukuoka Prefecture. During the autumn foliage season, the tunnel of Enkianthus campanulata takes on beautiful colors, attracting many climbers. Mt. Ganjyaku is made of granite and is home to many megaliths that have been formed over the eons of time, amazed by climbers. It has also been a sacred mountain for Shugendo pilgrimages since ancient times, and mountain castles were built here from the Middle Ages to the Sengoku period, so the hiking trail itself has many attractions.
