After hearing so much hype about Amsterdam from time and time again, I've finally decided to go see it for myself. Its beauty simply can't be ignored -- with its maze of criss-crossing canals, it is no wonder Amsterdam has so many picturesque bridges adding to its lovely cityscape. Amsterdam is the Netherlands’ capital, known for its artistic heritage, elaborate canal system and narrow houses. Its Museum District houses the Van Gogh Museum, works by Rembrandt and Vermeer at the Rijksmuseum, and modern art at the Stedelijk.
