Sembuwatta Lake is located in Matale district. This is one of the more recently popularized local and tourist attractions. Also This is a man made lake built by British nationals. You need to purchase ticket to enter this site. Lake is located in top of a mountain surrounded by pine trees. It takes you to a different world with the calm environment and lush green surrounding. Great place to enjoy the wonder of the mother nature. Beautiful scenery around the lake, boat trips available. Spring water pool for a bath, but water is quite cold. Along side natural spring water pool and you can bath from here. Depth of Sembuatta lake is 9m to 12m. Not allowed to swim in the lake its very dangerous . How to get there?
