Explore the fall/winter 2026-2027 collection of Aya Design showcased at London Fashion Week! The show marks a pivotal step forward for the brand, moving from the introspective solitude of the debut “L’ile deserte” into a collective dialogue about structure, harmony, and the future. The central theme draws from ancient Greek philosophy and the birth of “Order” itself: the moment humanity moved from chaos to language, from instinct to reason. In classical architecture, “Order” means the precise relationship between column and entablature - a metaphor for stability, continuity, and non-violent support. Yamaguchi sees this as a model for the ideal social structure: rounded columns that bear weight without crushing, a quiet strength that allows growth rather than domination. The collection answers through Primitive Modern -a fusion of 1930s functional beauty and ancient Greek spirituality. The himation, once reinterpreted as the fluid Delphos dress in the early 20th century, returns with deeper intellectual weight. Herringbone, denim, jersey, gabardine, faux fur, and pleats—materials once centered on wool—are re-engineered with modern technology. Earthy tones evoke an organic fantasy rooted in nature. Silhouettes remain minimalist yet sensual: stoic 1930s utility codes meet softly draped décolletage lines, structured shoulders softened by flowing movement. The result is a wardrobe that feels both urban and timeless—rigorous, elegant, and quietly powerful.
