Petticoats are so so important for achieving that Historically Accurate™ silhouette so this time we're making two! I could probably get away with just making one really big fluffy petticoat if Alice's dress didn't have a high-low hem, but it is so I've made one fluffy petticoat for volume and deception and one for extending the floof all the way to the low part of the hem. This is part seven (!) of my series making Hannah Alexander's Alice in Wonderland design and my research and inspiration are drawn very heavily from mid-Victorian fashion, specifically the 1860s, since that's when Alice in Wonderland was written and what seems to most match Hannah's drawing.
