Porto Cristo is a small fishing village on the east coast of Mallorca. Porto Cristo means ‘Port of Christ’. It is one of the popular quiet, laid-back and family-oriented seaside resorts on the island. The picturesque harbour town is located in a bay between beautiful cliffs. One of the main attractions in Porto Cristo is the Dragon Caves (Drach Caves). There are many shops, cafes, restaurants, etc here, near the promenade/beach/port/marina. Placa del Carmen is a nice square not far from the beach of Porto Cristo. This beautiful old small church is called ‘Mare de Deu del Carmen’, located in the town centre. The port area where you can find many eating places too. There is a wide range of cuisines on offer, from local to international fare. There are boat cruises travelling from Porto Cristo to nearby coves. See sailing yachts and fishing boats. The main beach is Porto Cristo Beach, a blue flag sandy beach with turquoise and crystal clear water. It is a small beach, approximately 300m long, but beautiful, located near the port/marina.
