Zinalrothorn Rothorngrat - Challenging Alpine Ascent

We climbed up the Rothorngrat of the Zinalrothorn on 29th June 2025. It is rated as a fairly difficult alpine ascent AD+ with climbing sections up to French grade IV, depending on the route choice up to V. The approach to the ridge is tricky and the ridge itself is very long with continuous committed climbing. We progressed quite slowly, so we decided to descend right away once we got to the "Gabel" where the normal route joins. So no summit on that day but a complete ascent of the Rothorngrat. The conditions were great on the ridge on a beautiful, warm day. Don't underestimate the climbing difficulties on the ridge, though.
