The Somali army has killed at least 30 terrorists and injured 40 others in the Galmudug state. The crackdown was part of a coordinated military operation undertaken by the Somali army, the Galmudug state forces, and pro-government local clan militias. The operation was conducted after the army received intelligence regarding Al-Shabaab militants' operations in the region. Authorities say among those killed were two significant Al-Shabaab leaders. The government says three of its soldiers were injured during the operation.
