– Eigth track off the album "She's a Tease" (Canadian pressing, Ragged Records/World Records WRC1-5234) Ladies and Gentlemen... I present to you one of Canada's hottest glam bands, Ana Black! Straight out of Kingston, Ontario, also very well-recognized at the Sunset Strip in Hollywood. They were SO close to releasing their major-label album "Who Killed Hollywood?" for Epic... but as luck would have it, at the very same time, grunge music hit the scene, and within 3 weeks of Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" charting, they were unceremoniously dropped from Epic's label roster. As a result, this was the only full-length release they did. And boy, is it ever strong. Even better, my copy is signed by Christien Hanthorn and David Danyes! After this album, Ana Black did several more demos, then they split up in '96. But, according to Encyclopedia Metallium, they are reportedly touring with a new lineup. Also, the Frood brothers (Dave Frood and Thom Frood aka Davey Kraze and Dizzy Bitch, respectively) now own their own studio in LA and are now performing as Nero Zero. With Dizzy, there's one difference to his role in Nero Zero and Ana Black, however; instead of banging those sticks, he decided to take on the battle axe in Nero Zero. The two brothers are now giving hard rock a modern twist in their new group.
