My HABESHA project focuses on the diaspora, but while attending the African Women in Dialogue conference in Johannesburg, I had the opportunity to speak with Eritreans and Ethiopians born and raised in the countries about their thoughts on the term "Habesha." Of course, no single person can represent all voices, but I’m grateful for Luwam’s time and perspective as someone who grew up in Eritrea and now lives in Italy.
