✅ 2016: Hubsan H501S Pro unboxed, flown, crashed, repaired, crashed, repaired, "LIKE NEW" FULLY FUNCTIONAL. 📆 15 Months in the making due to waiting on support and parts then just not performing the repairs for months at a time. 👣 Subscribe me: https://www.youtube.com/user/snikg?su... ℹ The long version: I un-boxed it, hoping for an awesome quadcopter, but was not impressed at first flight especially considering the cost. Upon launch I could tell it was gimped, so the only way to speed it up was to go atti-mode (sport-mode = no GPS). However, this mode sucked too. yes it was fast, but it rose in altitude way high. I tried again with the same result. Coming back in, this thing was out of control and out of sight fast so I was forced shutdown at 180 seconds into playtime. Crash! Repairs needed. After a long stint, it was finally up in the air again, the firmware was out of date and caused a premature shutdown all it's own. Hubsan replaced the shell free of charge and it took me a long time to replace it because the motor screws were hella tight and had to rip/cut them out and order new screws. In the meantime I had updated the firmware. Upon completion and next time I tried to fly, it would not set the compass, so Hubsan sent me the part free of charge again. I stalled repairing for awhile, but eventually got it all settled. I believe another firmware is available, but the firmware utility sucks making it difficult to connect.
