The Genesis version uses one channel for echo and one for a stereo chord, which I don't need, and that leaves just 4 channels, the exact amount I have. Even better, for the most part, there's no interference between identical notes. I'm also glad having the bass be one octave higher than I wanted causes no trouble and still sounds good. The only real difference I think I made from the original was giving that long high-pitched note a high vibrato, so it wouldn't sound like noise or become annoying (I also gave it a lower volume for the same reason).
